Fresh on the heels of its simulcast premiere on History®, Lifetime® and A&E®, the passion-filled mini-series, executive produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, follows one of the nation’s most notorious couples, Clyde Barrow (Emile Hirsch) and Bonnie Parker (Holliday Grainger), who lusted after fortune, killed for fame, and embarked on an adrenaline-filled crime spree across America.
Fans, historians and skeptics who are restless to uncover more about this legendary couple can dive into a host of bonus materials available on the two-disc Blu-ray and DVD sets. Exclusive to the BONNIE & CLYDE Blu-ray set is a never-before-seen featurette “A Legendary Story Revisited,” giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at how the tale was refreshed to take on a modern twist. Also included in both the Blu-ray and DVD sets are three all-new featurettes that give a candidly revealing look at the filming process and how Hirsch and Grainger interpreted their characters.
In addition to breakout performances from Hirsch (Into the Wild, Savages) and Grainger (Jane Eyre, The Borgias), BONNIE & CLYDE also stars Sarah Hyland (TV’s “Modern Family”, Struck by Lightning), Elizabeth Reaser (insert film/TV credit) and Academy Award® winning powerhouses Holly Hunter (The Piano; O Brother, Where Art Thou?) and William Hurt (TV’s “Damages", The Incredible Hulk). The mini-series was written by John Rice and Joe Batteer, and it was directed by Bruce Beresford.
SYNOPSIS
Though Bonnie Parker (Holliday Grainger, Jane Eyre) & Clyde Barrow's (Emile Hirsch, Into the Wild) crime spree is legendary, their story has never been told quite like this.
