Kino Lorber Studio Classics Announces its May Releases

Kino Lorber is proud to announce its May releases on its Studio Classics label. These dozen hit films showcase some of Hollywood's biggest stars, such as Burt Lancaster, Mickey Rooney, Sidney Poitier, Ray Milland, Robert Vaughn, Yul Brynner and Martin Landau, and leading directors including John Frankenheimer, Roger Corman, Gordon Douglas and J. Lee Thompson.





Kino Lorber Studio Classics Announces its May Releases


John Frankenheimer's The Train, Roger Corman's cult favorites The Premature Burial and X: The Man With The X-Ray Eyes, They Call Me Mr. Tibbs! and The Organization starring Sidney Poitier, and more to become available in May 2015

NEW YORK, NY -- APRIL 13, 2015 - Streeting on May 5 are John Frankenheimer's hit suspense thriller The Train (DVD only, $19.95), Roger Corman's war drama The Secret Invasion (Blu-ray, $29.95; DVD, $19.95), and the WWII thriller The McKenzie Break (Blu-ray, $29.95; DVD, $19.95) starring Brian Keith.

Roger Corman's cult hits The Premature Burial (Blu-ray, $29.95; DVD, $19.95) and X: The Man With The X-Ray Eyes (Blu-ray, $29.95; DVD, $19.95) both street on May 12, each packed with special features. Premature Burial includes an introduction to the film by Joe Dante, an on-camera interview with Roger Corman, and "Trailers from Hell" with Roger Corman, and X includes an introduction by Dante, two audio commentary tracks (one with Corman, the other with film historian Tim Lucas), the rare prologue, and "Trailers from Hell" with Mick Garris. 

Also streeting on Blu-ray May 12 are They Call Me Mr. Tibbs! (Blu-ray only, $29.95) and The Organization (Blu-ray only, $29.95), the gripping sequels to the 1967 classic In the Heat of the Night, both starring Sidney Poitier. 

Streeting May 26 are the martial arts classics Enter the Ninja (Blu-ray only, $29.95) and Revenge of the Ninja (Blu-ray only, $29.95), the latter featuring audio commentary by director Sam Firstenberg and stunt coordinator Steven Lambert, an intro by Sam Firstenberg, and a behind-the-scenes gallery. Also streeting May 26 is the adventure hit River of Death (Blu-ray, $29.95; DVD, $19.95), starring Michael Dudikoff, Donald Pleasence and Herbert Lom, and two films starring the great Yul Brynner: the Western drama Invitation to a Gunfighter (Blu-ray, $29.95; DVD, $19.95) directed by Richard Wilson, and the historical classic Kings of the Sun (Blu-ray, $29.95; DVD, $19.95), directed by J. Lee Thompson and also starring George Chakiris.
