Kino Lorber and Raro Video to Release Hallucination Strip, Death Occurred Last Night, Gang War in Milan, and Blue Movie on Blu-ray This April

Kino Lorber and Raro Video are proud to announce the release of four Italian genre classics in newly remastered editions: Lucio Marcaccini's Hallucination Strip (available April 29th); Duccio Tessari's Death Occurred Last Night (available May 6th); Umberto Lenzi's Gang War in Milan (available May 20th), and Alberto Cavallone's Blue Movie (available on May 27th in a Special Collector's Edition DVD only). These releases mark the world premiere on Blu-ray of Hallucination StripDeath Occurred Last Night, and Gang War in Milan. Each release includes special features such as video interviews and trailers, as well as a fully illustrated booklet with notes about the film.

NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 7, 2014 - Kino Lorber and Raro Video are proud to announce the release of four Italian genre classics in newly remastered editions: Lucio Marcaccini's HALLUCINATION STRIP (available April 29th; Blu-ray SRP: $34.95, DVD SRP: $29.95), Duccio Tessari's DEATH OCCURRED LAST NIGHT (available May 6th; Blu-ray SRP: $29.95, DVD SRP: $19.95), Umberto Lenzi's GANG WAR IN MILAN (available May 20th; Blu-ray SRP: $29.95, DVD SRP: $19.95), and Alberto Cavallone's BLUE MOVIE (available on May 27th in a Special Collector's Edition DVD only; SRP: $24.95).

Lucio Marcaccini's only film, HALLUCINATION STRIPis a psychedelic trip with a social commentary. Bud Cort (Harold & Maude) plays Massimo Monaldi, a student involved in political protests and juvenile delinquency. When Massimo steals a valuable tobacco box, he quickly becomes tangled in a dangerous web between the police and the mafia.

Culminating in an extended and elaborately choreographed party sequence, underscored with an excellent soundtrack by Alberto Verrecchia,HALLUCINATION STRIP excels with its not-so-subtle mix of sex, drugs, religion, politics and corruption.

Umberto Lenzi's hard-hitting Italian crime drama GANG WAR IN MILAN tells the story of a small-time pimp in Milan, Toto Cangemi, whose existence is threatened by the arrival of a new crime boss in town, known as Le Capitaine. When Toto finds his small operations in direct conflict with Le Capitaine's organized crime interests, all hell threatens to break loose as Toto stands up to the crime boss in order to protect his livelihood.
