American Graffiti Finally Comes to Blu-ray on May 31!

The movie that made Star Wars possible and kicked off a wave of nostalgia across the nation, is finally coming to Blu-ray this May!  American Graffiti was so successful that it gave George Lucas the chance to make Star Wars and launched the careers of a talented group of young actors that includes: Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss, Paul LeMat, Charles Martin-Smith, Candy Clark, and the already well known Ron Howard who made the transition from television to movies with this film.
It was also nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Supporting Actress (Candy Clark), Best Writing/Story/Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Director (George Lucas), and Best Picture.
As this is an early announcement, not all of the details have been finalized but we do have some information from Universal Studios about the upcoming American Graffiti Blu-ray release on May 31.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include The Making of American Graffiti, additional screen tests, and the theatrical trailer.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be a U-Control: Video Commentary with George Lucas, U-Control: The Music of American Graffiti, My Scenes, Pocket Blu, and BD-Live functionality.
