Show (3 out of 5 stars)
"Ancient Aliens" is a show I used to like. It’s not a bad show; it’s just that after a while, all the episodes tend to reuse the same footage, same interviews, and same theories. There isn’t much you can continue exploring after six seasons. That said, while I enjoyed watching, I found that it’s not a show that one can binge watch without quickly growing bored.
From interviews with “experts in the field” to journalists who claim to have investigated the strange phenomena, "Ancient Aliens" is an exploration into the theory that most of the technology, religious beliefs, architecture, and scientific discoveries happened because of visits by aliens. The series asks the viewer to suspend their belief that for some reason the human race was and still is incapable of discovering, creating or building some of the world’s most iconic features.
Each episode you watch will either blow your mind or anger you to the point of wanting to throw something at the television. Personally, I went through both stages. As I watched different episodes, I found myself getting annoyed with the different theories and amazed that there are people out there that think the pyramids were built by aliens, that Adolf Hitler was influenced by aliens, that the Gods people believe in are not Gods, but incarnations of alien sightings and beliefs.
All over the world, there are unexplainable structures, illnesses, pathways, and people who experts claim were influenced by aliens. Each of the seasons touches on a variety of topics: Gods, monsters, religious themes, affects on nature, crop circles, Stonehenge, and much, much more. Interspersed with expert interviews and other evidence, each season asks the viewer to forget everything they have ever learned about history, religion, and nature, and believe that nothing on this Earth has been discovered without the influence of aliens.
The following is a list of each season's episodes:

Ancient Aliens: The Complete Seasons 1-6 widescreen presentation was very good. It was clear and sharp and the colors were bright and reenactments were smooth. I watch this show on television and the picture was better than watching it on TV.
Audio (4 out of 5 stars)The English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio was also very good. The narration was clear and the interviews with the scholars were intelligible and extremely “knowledgeable.” Ancient Aliens is an easy show to just listen to because of the clarity and sharpness of the audio.
Extras (0 out of 5 stars)There are no special features in this 23 disc set of DVDs.
Summary (2 1/2 out of 5 stars)
Ancient Aliens is an interesting show to watch… once. To binge watch it as I did actually made me dislike the show. There was too much repeating of the same theories and footage, and I became bored. It’s not a show that has space on my DVR, it’s more of a catch-it-if-I-see-it-on type of show. If you can suspend all belief and common sense, you will like it more than I did.
