Life 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Review

Life, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds is now available to own on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and digital copy. The science fiction/horror film is directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House, Child 44) and takes place aboard a space station. The six member crew has found the first evidence of life on Mars. As they study the organism, they soon learn that the single cell is much more than they realized.

Dredd 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Review

The future America is an irradiated wasteland — a vast, ultraviolent world where criminals control the mean city streets. Ultimate law enforcers like Dredd (Karl Urban) and his new partner, Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), are Judges — the only force battling for justice. Dispatched by the central authority, the Judges’ target is Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) a ruthless boss bent on expanding her criminal empire through sales of Slo-Mo, a dangerous reality-altering drug. With Dredd calling the shots, the two Judges declare full-scale war on crime in this unrelenting and brutal, three-dimensional thrill ride.

Bambi, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year celebrates with a new Walt Disney Signature Edition that includes a variety of new bonus material, including recordings of Walt Disney discussing the challenges and triumphs during the production of Bambi; deleted scenes and characters; stories and effects that Bambi had on the Studio, other films and artists; and much, much more. Additionally, the Digital HD release includes an exclusive, heartfelt feature on the incredible artist, Tyrus Wong, who inspired the film’s soft watercolor backgrounds and beautiful palette.

Beauty and the Beast (2017) Blu-ray Review

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the live-action adaptation of the studio’s animated classic, brought the story and characters audiences know and love to spectacular life and broke box-office records. Beauty and the Beast features an extraordinary ensemble cast, including Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as The Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as LeFou, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Audra McDonald as Madame de Garderobe, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Hattie Morahan as the enchantress and Nathan Mack as Chip with Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. For those who cherish the animated musical, the film can be played in sing-along-mode. Bonus features include a table read like only Disney would attempt and a look behind the scenes with the actors and music that bring this fairy tale to life.

Logan Blu-ray Review

Twentieth Century Fox brings Hugh Jackman’s celebrated seventeen-year run as Wolverine to a close with the the box office phenomenon Logan. Sir Patrick Stewart (X-Men: Days of Future Past, "Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Stephen Merchant ("Hello Ladies," "The Office"), Boyd Holbrook ("Narcos") and newcomer Dafne Keen join Jackman in the iconic character’s final chapter, directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine, Walk the Line). In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant (Dafne Keen) arrives, being pursued by dark forces. In addition to nearly 90 minutes of original content, including deleted scenes and a behind-the-scenes documentary, this Blu-ray also includes Logan Noir, a black and white version of the film that gives the acclaimed story an all-new look.
